You've got to write something, now. Maybe a thank-you note or a letter to a friend. Or a report for work or school. The deadline's tonight, and you're fresh out of ideas. The page--or your computer screen--just sits there staring back at you in a most unhelpful and intimidating manner. What to do?
To paraphrase the prolific Stephen King (who just doesn't seem to believe in writer's block except as a plot device), get to work, you little slacker, you. The best writing is almost always the result of rewriting, so start typing or scribbling and then polish the result until it shines.
